  6. How to make your Amiga Booting-Up like a PC

  8. You wonder, What's the usage of this thing?
  9.  
  10. Well, you must have seen how a PC boots-up. With that black
  11. DOS-Mode screen and all these things that loads (Including Windows)
  12. to call itself Multitasking User-Friendly System... Well some 
  13. PC Users in my neighbourhood they laughed with my amiga so, I decided
  14. to create something to show them, that we can easily emulate the DOS
  15. Mode of a PC :)

  17. ...Note that one of them thought that it was a PC the machine it
  18. was booting...

  20. Description
  21.  
  22. It's consisted by 17 Pictures of 16 Colors for the Highest possible
  23. speed. Which are showing a PC Bios info and some other things
  24. such as: Drivers Loading (Sound Blaster, Scanners, CD ROMS)
  25. Programs (VirusScan) and of course, in the last Picture
  26. Windows 98 are loading... (No Comment) I also include in and an
  27. animation made of the 17 Pictures

  29. How it Works

  31. Well, you can use it with Picboot (util/wb/PicBoot.lha) or any
  32. other boot picture utility you like. You can also use it with a viewer
  33. such as PPShow (gfx/show/PPShow40.lha) ViewTek (gfx/show/ViewTEK21.lha)
  34. etc. As you can see in my Startup Sequence it loads the pictures one
  35. after another and it appears loading like a PC. If you don't like that
  36. method you can use the animation instead (made with PPaint)

  38. You can combine it with Windows Wallpapers for WBPattern, Windows
  39. Sounds and you can make your own Booting-Like Pictures
  40. with Energy Star logos, Programs, Drivers, and anything you can
  41. think about
